HOLLOW POINT is a recently constructed 35-foot Nerowalker Catamaran designed for offshore and inshore fishing. She is built of welded aluminum with a multi-step hull and extended brackets for the vessel outboards. She is powered by twin 450-horsepower XTO Offshore Yamaha outboards, ENGINES EXTENDED WARRANTY until June 17, 2029.
The exterior hull is forest green with a white boot stripe and black bottom paint. The Interior hull and pilothouse are painted white.
The bow area is enclosed with an open platform for casting and mounting a Minn Kota trolling motor and spotlight—a portion of the platform lifts, allowing for storage of the trolling motor batteries and gear. Aft of the platform, steps descend to a walkway that encircles the enclosed pilothouse.
The forward end of the pilothouse is a raised platform fitted with two lounge-style vinyl seats. The platform can be lifted and allows access to a 4’x 4’ x 3’ storage space or fish hold.
The bulwarks are capped with 6” wide flat caps and multiple rod holders. There are also hookups for LED lighting and electric fishing reels. The interior side of the bulwark is fitted with 8” vinyl padding, and the exterior is a black rubber rail. Hatches along the deck allow access to two storage spaces on each side of the pilothouse. Additional hatches allow access to fuel tanks, hydraulics, and pumps. The side of the pilot house is fitted with small LED lights and handrails.
Aft of the pilothouse is the stern area enclosed by bulwarks on the side and a live well aft. Additionally, a door on the starboard side allows for accessing the platform that is fitted with the outboard motors and ladder. Various storage spaces and hatches on the deck allow access to the bilge pumps and other mechanical components.
The pilothouse is enclosed on three sides and open aft. It has a weathertight door on the starboard side, fixed windows, and two sliding windows. The helm has a full electronics suite, the wheel, engine throttles, and the Yamaha single-point throttle (joystick). Two shock-absorbing helm chairs and two bench seats with storage below are also present.
A triple-axle aluminum-frame trailer manufactured by Nerowalker has a bunk system, brakes, lights, and a ladder. The trailer has an empty weight of approximately 2,000 lbs. and can carry 19,000 lbs.
The trailer is centered around three axles, each with Kodiak surge brakes. The center bunks can be removed before loading the vessel and reinstalled when the vessel is in place. The periphery of the trailer is tapped with reflective tape and lighting.
